Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists will evaluate the functional abilities of you or your loved one as well as the home environment, and any challenges this may present. Our occupational therapy services assist patients with the recovery of their motor skills, mental cognition, and the ability to conduct their daily tasks. Our Therapists work along with physicians, nurses and other home health aides to promote coordinated, high quality care for you or your loved one.
We have high standards for our Physical and Occupational Therapists, and require that they be a graduate from a Physical Therapy program, be licensed by the Missouri State Board of Health Arts, and have a minimum of two years experience as a physical therapist. Our Physical Therapy Services Include:
- Retrain Patients On Self-Care Skills:

- Assess Safety Conditions In Home, Needs For Adaptive Equipment
- Educate On Joint Protection, Energy Conservation, and Accident Avoidance
- Improve Fine Motor Coordination
- Prepare Patient To Resume Day-to-Day Activities
Our Assessment Process:
When a patient is interested in care for themselves or a loved one, our representatives are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help. We will conduct an initial phone assessment and evaluate the most appropriate services for their unique needs.
Once we have all necessary information, Med Plus HealthCare will conduct a Case Conference to determine the most appropriate treatment plan recommendation. Our Intake Coordinator will then work in direct conjunction with the patient’s physicians and other health care providers to receive their orders and coordinate our services directly with their Plan of Care. We also contact and verify the insurance provider/payer source (i.e. Medicare, private insurance, etc.).
We will then send our Registered Nurse to the patient’s home to complete a full physical assessment. If additional services are determined to be needed, the Registered Nurse will then communicate with the patient’s doctors or other healthcare providers to coordinate the appropriate care.
